Civil/Commercial Litigation Associate Position
About Us:
We are a Bryan/College Station, Texas Civil/Commercial litigation firm with an immediate opening for a full-time in-person associate position. The Firm is well established in Brazos County and the surrounding area. We are committed to providing quality legal services to clients in a wide range of civil and commercial areas with a focus on business, construction, and real estate disputes. Ours is a close knit team that values, integrity, accountability, responsiveness, flexibility and results. We are seeking a skilled and motivated associate attorney to join our team and grow this practice alongside our managing partner.
Position Requirements:
1. Active license and in good standing with the Texas State Bar
2. 2-5 years of Texas civil/commercial litigation experience
3. Prior experience in depositions, hearings, motion practice, hearings, and in trials
4. Excellent research/writing skills
5. An understanding of and experience with the Texas Rules of Procedure and Evidence.
6. Detail oriented with a commitment to providing excellent service to the client
7. Full-time in-person position (not remote)
Responsibilities:
1. Manage his or her own docket while also assisting a senior attorney in other ongoing litigation.
2. Represent clients in legal proceedings including hearings, mediations, and trials.
3. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
4. Provide legal analysis and develop case strategies.
5. Communicate and interact directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties.
6. Strong organizational and timemanagement abilities.
7. Commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client service.
